Hooman Rahimi uses 91传媒 components on his boosted Nissan 370Z

Tennessee-based pro drifter, Hooman Rahimi, is once again competing in the PROSPEC category of the prestigious Formula Drift series in the USA.

Rahimi continues to entrust 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 Apollo Big Brake Kit with RP-1鈩 pads and GD rotors on his highly capable turbocharged LSX-powered Nissan 370Z.

With a mixed bag of luck in the previous round at Road Atlanta, we next caught up with Rahimi following his latest round at Connecticut, where he also shared info about the upcoming weekend at Indianapolis.

Read more in his own words below鈥

鈥淲e are headed to another new track this week at Indianapolis for Round
3 of Formula Drift. I have podiumed at this track twice in my history (back in Pro-Am, I think it is also my first Pro-Am podium in my 350Z many, many years ago). So, hopefully we can make this our third podium at this track! They are planning to run a similar layout, but they added some new asphalt and track so it should be interesting! We are excited to run the new setup and get some data with the 370Z and much, much more power so many years later鈥”

鈥淲e had a great event at Connecticut, but the results were unfortunately poor. The car was doing great; I felt I was driving great, but we just barely lost our first battle, no excuses. It happens. I left with my head high as I think my runs were solid, but it also gave me some work to do to drive even better. Every event I feel like my team and I are advancing and that is all I can ask for.

鈥淲e are ready for Indy and if luck is on our side I am hoping for strong results鈥︹赌

Carl Jones competes in the Caterham Seven Championship UK

British Caterham racer, Carl Jones, is undertaking another season in the top-tier Caterham Seven Championship UK in his 420R-badged machine.

At the start of 2023, Jones reached out to 91传媒 Racing for some upgraded stopping power, proceeding to use RP-X鈩 motorsport brake pads on the front axle, and Bluestuff NDX brake pads on the rear 鈥 a combination he has continued to use to this day.

We previously caught up with Jones at the first round of the year at Silverstone, where he pivoted a DNF into a spectacular victory. We鈥檝e since caught up with him following the latest round at Derbyshire鈥檚 Donington Park, where more victories ensued.

Read how the weekend panned out below in his own words鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 delighted to report that the weekend produced two race victories and a second-place finish, making it one of my strongest results of the season so far. While there is always room to improve, these results are a testament to the preparation, teamwork and the confidence that comes from having such fantastic partners behind me.”

鈥淭he Caterham 420R performed faultlessly throughout the weekend, allowing us to focus on extracting the maximum performance in every session. We also gathered valuable data that will help us continue developing the car as we look ahead to the remainder of the season being a credible 5 points ahead in the British Championship lead.”

鈥淚鈥檇 like to take this opportunity to thank 91传媒 for supplying products that continue to give me complete confidence under braking. Knowing I can rely on consistent braking performance lap after lap allows me to attack every corner with confidence.”

鈥淲e鈥檙e now fully focused on the next round at Anglesey on 18th鈥19th July, where we鈥檒l be aiming to build on this momentum and continue delivering results that count.鈥

Gary Lowe uses RP-X鈩 and Bluestuff pads in his BMW 335i race car

Racing driver, Gary Lowe, is competing in the 2026 season of the 750MC Armed Forces Challenge in his freshly-built E92 BMW 335i.

Lowe has opted to use 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 RP-X鈩 motorsport brake pads for the front axle, as well as 91传媒鈥 Bluestuff NDX pads (rear) and GD discs (all-round).

Following podium finishes in his debutant outing in the car at Silverstone recently, we next caught up with Lowe fresh off the back of Snetterton 300 round of the championship, where he walked away from the weekend鈥檚 gruelling 45-minute endurance race with a class win, despite some technical setbacks mid-race.

You can read how it all panned out below in Gary鈥檚 own words below鈥

鈥淩ound 3 of the Armed Forces Race Challenge brought a different format, with a single 45-minute race featuring a mandatory pit stop.

鈥淗aving never driven the circuit outside of the simulator, qualifying was always going to be a learning experience. Unfortunately, the session was heavily disrupted by incidents, resulting in multiple yellow flags and a red flag, limiting us to just two genuine flying laps. Despite this, we secured P6 overall and P1 in class with a 2:19 lap time. Both the car and I had more pace to find, but given the circumstances, it was a solid result.”

鈥淭he race got off to a great start. A strong launch allowed us to move from P6 to P4, passing two cars before Turn 1 before making another move on the guest Caterham to take P3 heading into the second hairpin.

鈥淲e settled comfortably into third place and were showing strong race pace before technical issues began to emerge. A low coolant warning appeared, with temperatures gradually increasing. Initially, this reduced engine boost, causing us to lose ground, before eventually removing boost entirely.

鈥淔rom that point, the focus shifted from fighting for positions to managing the car and ensuring we reached the chequered flag without causing further damage. While several other Class B competitors also encountered issues and retired, allowing us to finish P1 in class, it was disappointing to lose what had been shaping up to be a very competitive result.”

鈥淭he positive takeaway is that the car clearly has the pace to run at the front, and the root cause of the issue has now been identified. We can address it, move forward, and come back stronger for the next round.

鈥淎nother major positive from the weekend was the performance of the 91传媒 braking package. The combination of the RP-X鈩 front pads, Bluestuff rear pads and 91传媒 discs performed flawlessly throughout the event. Even under repeated heavy braking for the duration of the 45-min race, there was no sign of fade, and pedal feel remained consistent from start to finish. That level of confidence allowed me to progressively push my braking points later as the day went on, knowing the brakes would deliver the same performance lap after lap, the T51 Racing bespoke brake cooling kit also played it part and helped to keep the whole system temps down throughout.”

鈥淎 huge thank-you to everyone who came along to support, help prepare the car, and make the weekend possible. There were a few challenges leading up to the event, and at times it looked like we might not make the grid, but thanks to the efforts of those around me, we got there.

鈥淔inally, a massive thank you to 91传媒, Karlyone Care Ltd, and the Army Sports Car Racing team for their continued support throughout the season. Your backing is greatly appreciated, and we鈥檙e looking forward to coming back fighting at Brands Hatch in August.鈥

The Club Racer team uses a raft of 91传媒 Racing components on their Mk5 VW Golf GTI

The Clubracer racing outfit 鈥 made up of drivers Henry Wright and Kevin Glover 鈥 has relied on 91传媒 components as it has made its way up the ranks through the MSVR Trackday Championship classes.

This all culminated in an听outright championship win in 2025听鈥 a fantastic result for the team. Riding off this success, they鈥檝e decided to move onto pastures new for the 2026 season, entering the 750MC Roadsports Championship in their modified Mk5 VW Golf GTI.

With a string of further upgrades applied over the winter, and retaining their winning Apollo Big Brake Kit/RP-X鈩 brake pad setup, the team secured podium in their debutant 2026 round at Croft.

We next caught up with the driver duo following their third round on the mighty Silverstone GP course, where more podiums ensured they left the weekend leading their class.

Find out how it all panned out in their own words below鈥

With the season nearing the half-way point, we headed to听the home of the British GP for Round 3 at Silverstone. With the forecast looking to be red hot, and the entry list showing 62 cars, it was going to be a challenging weekend!

鈥淨ualifying with a two-driver team is always going to be difficult, especially on the longer circuits as we effectively lose 7-8 mins of the 25-min session with an in-lap, driver change and out lap et cetera 鈥 let alone getting your eye in quickly to put in fast laps with 61 other cars contesting the same piece of tarmac! With that said, we managed to hustle the car to P7 in class which with no testing and a few new chassis updates we were happy it was a good place to start the race!”

鈥淗aving sat for 20 mins in full race gear in the baking heat in the holding area, the race rolling start was a bit of an odd event, as when starting 27th in a packed grid with a lot of TCR cars and higher horsepower Class A cars, you can鈥檛 actually see the starting lights due to the nature of the curved start/finish straight. So, the first lap was a case of consolidating position, staying out of trouble and picking a few slow starting cars off. The temperature in the cockpit by this point was already getting to uncomfortable with the ambient temp being nearly 30掳C. Whilst the first half of the race continued, Henry managed to pass a couple fellow Class B runners and continue the slow but steady climb up the standings, helped by a few runners having heat related, and other issues. As it neared the end of the pitstop window, Henry managed to pick off the current class leader whilst battling through traffic heading down the Wellington straight promoting us to 4th in class. The next lap, Kev took the reins and set about consolidating the position with some high pressure from fellow Mk5 GTI driver, Josh Johnson. However, managing to complete the job allowing us to cross the line in 4th in class, just shy of the podium. A solid effort to make up 3 places from our qualifying position.”

鈥淭he post-race checks on 2 of the podium-finishing cars found them to be the wrong side of the regulations, one for weight infringement, one for ride height, thus promoting us to 2nd听in class! A welcome result with all the hard work going on in the background on performance a reliability. Needless to say, the 355mm 6-pot Apollo big brake kit equipped with RP-X鈩 compound pads didn鈥檛 miss a beat, dealing with the hot temperatures, and giving high confidence from start to finish. We are also seeing impressive wear rates for both disc and pads given the harsh environment and relative heavy weight of the car. It鈥檚 nice to be able to largely forget about that factor as we know it 鈥榡ust works鈥! The rear setup utilising OEM equivalent Ultimax discs and pads is also surpassing expectations given the beating they receive!

鈥淲ith our (so far) consistent results this year, and constant development with the car, we currently head into Round 4 at Anglesey at the end of June heading the Class leaderboard 鈥 a genuinely amazing place to be with it being our first campaign in the 750mc Roadsports formula. Hopefully the second half of the seasons continues in the same way!鈥

Gary Lowe uses RP-X鈩 and Bluestuff pads in his BMW 335i race car

Racing driver, Gary Lowe, has entered his first competitive race in his freshly-built E92 BMW 335i in the 750MC Armed Forces Challenge round at Silverstone recently.

The race follows a very promising shakedown session earlier in the year at Donington Park.

Lowe has opted for 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 RP-X鈩 motorsport brake pads for the front axle, as well as 91传媒鈥 Bluestuff NDX pads (rear) and GD discs (all-round).

You can read how it all panned out below in Gary鈥檚 own words below鈥

“This weekend, we attended Rounds 1 and 2 of the Armed Forces Race Challenge at Silverstone National Circuit.

鈥淢aking the results even more special, this marked the very first race weekend for the car and myself, making it a huge milestone after 18 months of work preparing the car myself to get it race ready.”

鈥淭he weekend proved challenging from the outset, with intermittent boost issues that unfortunately remained unresolved throughout both races. Despite the setbacks, we kept pushing and were able to bring the car home in both races, securing a strong P3 in class during Race 1 and improving to P2 in class in Race 2.

鈥淎 huge positive from the weekend was the performance of the 91传媒 package. The RP-X鈩 pads paired with the Bluestuff pads and discs performed flawlessly throughout the weekend, delivering consistent stopping power with zero brake fade and remaining sharp and reliable across both races.”

Owen Fox uses an 91传媒 Racing Apollo Big Brake Kit on his Nissan 350Z

Up-and-coming drifter, Owen Fox, secured victory in his first ever competitive event during the BHP Show at Kent Showground recently.

The driver, competing in the 2026 season of Drift Style UK, relies on an 91传媒 Racing 6-piston big brake kit, RP-X鈩 brake pads and USR rear discs to stop his modified Nissan 350Z drift car.

Read how the incredibly successful weekend panned out for Fox in his own words below鈥

鈥淕oing into my very first drift competition, I was super nervous, and I could feel the adrenaline pumping as soon as I woke up that morning. We started off with the drivers鈥 briefing and track walk, and shortly after, it was time for me to get suited up, warm the car up, and get ready to go.

鈥淎s I sat on the line waiting to head out on track for my first practice laps in front of 13,000 people, I really didn鈥檛 know what to expect.

鈥淪traight after that first lap, the nerves settled and the game head was well and truly screwed on, ready to push as hard as I could. Even then, I still had no expectations – I just wanted to drive my best and see how I got on.”

鈥淎fter practice, we noticed a slight leak coming from the diff, but my amazing team and I instantly got to work and resolved the issue. By this point, it was time for my one-lap super qualifying run. I put everything I had on the line and gave it my all, and shortly after, I found out that it had paid off – I qualified P1.

鈥淲ith all the mixed emotions going through me and knowing I was about to head into my first battle, all I could focus on was remaining calm and reminding myself to drive the way I had been all day.

鈥淎fter pushing myself and the car to the limit in my battle against such an amazing driver, Warren Lee, I genuinely didn鈥檛 know what the result was going to be, as we both put on an incredible battle and real masterclass for the fans.

鈥淭his resulted in a 鈥極ne More Time鈥, which I honestly didn鈥檛 expect at all. Once again, I did everything I could and drove the best I could, and we managed to take home the win. Wow – what a feeling that was. I鈥檝e never felt anything like it.”

鈥淔or me, the win was an incredible result, and I was extremely proud of myself and my team. But most importantly, this weekend proved something to me – I belong here.

鈥淣one of this would have been possible without the support behind me. Every sticker on the car represents people and businesses who believed in me before there were results, before there was experience, and before there was proof. Your support gave me the opportunity to stand on that grid and fight for something bigger than myself. And this is only the beginning.

鈥淣ow I understand what it truly takes to compete at this level. I know where I need to improve, I know how hard I鈥檓 willing to push, and I鈥檓 leaving this weekend more motivated, focused, and hungry than ever before.”

鈥淭hank you for backing me, believing in the vision, and being part of this journey from day one. We鈥檙e building something real, and I鈥檓 going to keep pushing until we make serious noise in this sport.

鈥淭his first competition lit a fire in me that isn鈥檛 going out. Let鈥檚 keep moving forward鈥︹赌

Stuart Egdell is competing in the French national drifting championship

Pro drifter, Stuart Egdell, continues his partnership with 91传媒 as he once again carries out another season of the Drift France championship.

After several successful years of relying on 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 RP-X鈩 brake pads, Egdell鈥檚 formidable 2JZ-powered S14A Nissan Silvia was upgraded further for the 2025 season, with the addition of a six-piston Apollo Big Brake Kit that helped propel him to great results in last year鈥檚 season.

We caught up with Egdell off the back of his debutant 2026 round at Circuit du Val de Vienne, where despite some setbacks, it was a positive insight into the year ahead for the team.

Check out his race report below鈥

“Drift France Round 1 certainly set the season off with a bang!

“With the car doing double duty鈥擫uke competing in Pro and myself in Elite 鈥 it made for a challenging weekend full of highs and lows. Luke received a wildcard entry to compete at the home track of LM Autosport 86 at Val d鈥橵ienne just a few weeks before the event, which meant a huge push from the whole team to get everything dialled in for the season opener.”

“The event kicked off on Friday with media day. This included practice sessions and passenger runs for sponsors, the public, and championship officials. During testing, I was able to really push the car to its limits, although the day ended slightly early after breaking a lower arm on a rumble strip. The team worked hard that evening to repair and realign everything, getting the car ready for Saturday.

“Saturday consisted of practice and qualifying. During practice, Luke unfortunately bent the steering arm twice, but thanks to support from another driver, we were able to get back out in time for qualifying. With the Pro class running first in worsening weather conditions, Luke delivered a strong performance and secured 5th place.”

“I followed in the Elite qualifying session and managed a solid first run scoring 75 points, placing me 7th. On my second run, I pushed harder and went wider, but a slight wheel drop on clip 5 meant I matched my previous score鈥攆rustrating, as it likely cost a top 3 position.

“Sunday was race day. Luke drove a strong Top 16 battle to secure a place in the Top 8, but unfortunately had to withdraw due to a cracked rear diff plate causing an oil leak on track. Despite this, he finished an impressive 7th place in his first ever CFD event鈥攇reat job!”

“After a rapid repair, the car was ready for my Top 32 battle. However, we quickly discovered a major loss of power. Post-run checks revealed a split inlet plenum, causing a significant loss of boost across the rev range. Up against a 1000hp competitor on one of the fastest tracks of the season, it was always going to be tough. I gave it everything, but multiple corrections in the chase run ultimately cost the battle.

“Overall, Round 1 was an incredible start to the season and a true team effort under pressure. It鈥檚 shaping up to be one of the most exciting CFD seasons yet.

“As always, thank you for your continued support鈥攚e look forward to seeing you all at the next event. Round 2 is just two weeks away, featuring an all-night battle at Vesoul.”

Dave Barrett competes in the Modified Ford Series with his Mk4 Fiesta

Dave Barrett is competing in the 2026 Modified Ford Series, piloting his modified Mk4 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Zetec within the Class C category (normally aspirated, dual-valve engines up to 1850cc/multi-valve engines up to 1750cc).

Following a spell using 91传媒 Racing鈥檚 RP-X鈩 and 91传媒 Greenstuff brake pads in 2024, Barrett relied on RP-1鈩 friction material (front) and Bluestuff brake pads (rear) across the 2025 season, with great results achieved. He鈥檚 decided to continue using this winning braking formula for this year鈥檚 action too.

We caught up with Dave after the first round of the year, held at Cheshire鈥檚 Oulton Park recently, where he achieved a maximum points hall with class wins in both races entered. You can read how it all panned out in his own words below鈥

Qualifying

鈥淎n early start for qualifying at 08:30 at a wet Oulton Park. 28 cars on the grid and a respectable 17th听on the grid for race one, which considering the classes of the cars on the grid was a great achievement. Lots of others complained of little to no grip on the circuit but I never found it an issue during the session and had total confidence in the car.鈥

Race One

鈥淲ith a pack of higher-class cars behind me, keeping my place in the middle of the pack was always going to be challenge and although off the start a couple of places were lost, as the race evolved and progressed, places were taken back and good clean racing was had by all on circuit. The car was faultless and the brakes remain a key part in being able to brake later than others, giving me an advantage heading into heavy braking zones on the international circuit. Maximum points and a class win were secured and leading to a good place on the grid for race two and its typically unpredictable April weather.鈥

Race Two

鈥淭yre choice was key for race two, with torrential rain followed by warm spells of sunshine and the choice of tyres was left until the last second in the hope of gaining an advantage in the race. I opted for an intermediate tyre and it paid off; turn one was tricky at the start and caution was applied through the next couple of laps with cars on the wet choice of tyres making the most of the conditions whilst they could.

鈥淗owever, a dry line appeared fairly quickly with just a few wet and damp sections remaining, especially in the braking zones at Cascades and Lodge.

“Pace-wise 鈥 considering the tyre choice and conditions 鈥 was good again, with a further advantage in key braking zones and happy to report a further class win and a maximum points haul for the weekend.

鈥淭he conditions were tough and challenging and yet again, 91传媒 Racing came through the test giving me confidence throughout.鈥

The driver duo uses a raft of 91传媒 Racing components on their Mk5 VW Golf GTI

The Clubracer racing outfit 鈥 made up of drivers Henry Wright and Kevin Glover 鈥 has relied on 91传媒 components as it has made its way up the ranks through the MSVR Trackday Championship classes.

This all culminated in an outright championship win in 2025 鈥 a fantastic result for the team. Riding off this success, they鈥檝e decided to move onto pastures new for the 2026 season, entering the 750MC Roadsports Championship in their modified Mk5 VW Golf GTI.

With a string of further upgrades applied over the winter, and retaining their winning Apollo Big Brake Kit/RP-X鈩 brake pad setup, the team approached the first round at Croft Circuit with an optimistic mindset.

Find out how it all panned out in their own words below鈥

鈥淲ith the success of 2025 behind us, winning the MSVR Trackday Championship overall, we set our sights on a different goal for 2026: the Roadsports Championship hosted by 750MC would be where we plan to do battle. With a very similar format, but slightly higher power categories and faster pit stops, it sets a very different challenge.

鈥淥ver the winter, the car has received a slight power hike with a bigger turbo and supporting mods, along with some other minor upgrades. Rear brakes have been upgraded to factory Mk5 Golf R32 vented 91传媒 plain discs, and Ultimax2 pads with slightly larger diameter; not necessarily for more brake force, but a more consistent temperature window, as the rears are worked quite hard with the OEM ABS system. This, matched with the now tried-and-tested 91传媒 Apollo 6 pot 355x32mm front big brake kit, and our 鈥榞o-to鈥 RP-X鈩 compound pads.”

鈥淩ound 1 was held at the Croft circuit near Darlington, with the weather looking to be mixed to say the least. Qualifying started in wet conditions. We readied the car with a known good wet setup and Kev rolled out to see where we were pace wise.

鈥淗aving no previous running against the new field of competitors (26 in our Class B!), it was a complete unknown at this stage. As Kev pulled in after his stint, we were sat in P2 initially 鈥 a great start! Henry jumped in for the final few laps with the track conditions improving quickly, but unfortunately a combination of traffic, an odd red flag due to a circuit electrical glitch, and various other racing driver excuses!, we ended the session in P5.

鈥淪till a very respectable start to the campaign. It鈥檚 always been a bit of a disadvantage having 2 drivers in a sprint enduro format, as you lose half the session changing drivers and getting back up to speed, whilst single driver entrants keep lapping. Especially in changeable conditions.

鈥淭he new brake setup was proving a vast improvement in terms of feel and temperature consistency, so we were very happy with the confidence that was giving us in the bumpy braking zones.”

鈥淭he race was full of excitement, the weather constantly changing throughout. The rolling start went without issue and first five cars including us started to pull away from the remaining pack. With contact up ahead from a bold move into the Complex saw us take advantage and up to P3, using our normal measured approach. A lap later the leader went off going into the Complex too! P2.

鈥淎 few laps went by before the previous leading car of Packer was back on our rear bumper, he went through on the inside into the Complex, allowing all 3 leading cars to bunch up nicely heading down into Tower corner the following lap, where Packer re-took the lead. I ceased the opportunity to follow him through with a late brake manoeuvre both going past the leading Mk7 Golf back into P2.”

鈥淥n the way into the pits, a lapped Porsche Boxster held us up for half a lap, unfortunately meaning Kev came out the pits now in P4. Soon after Kev鈥檚 pit exit, there was a safety car due to a crashed Vauxhall Corsa, meaning it would be a 3-lap sprint to the end. The 3rd听placed BMW Z4 seemed a long way ahead on the penultimate lap, with the added hassle of a lapped VW Scirocco in-between Kev and his target. A very committed move past the backmarker through the left hander of the Esses, subsequently forcing the BMW to out brake himself into Sunny-in. Kev lined up the move into the harpin after getting right up under the bumper through the Complex. taking the P3 spot!

鈥淎 podium first time out! Couldn鈥檛 be happier with that, especially with the quality of the machinery we were up against. The car was faultless through all the different conditions. Ultimate confidence on the middle pedal making the difference for us once again.听

鈥淣ext round 鈥 Brands Hatch GP听on May 3rd! Bring it on鈥︹赌
